Great!
Only been here for hungover breakfast, but always impressed with their breakfast, particularly their potatoes with onions and their sausage (which is unlike most breakfast places, is real sausage). The staff are friendly and all this for a very reasonable price.

Burgers and Beer
Tuesdays the burgers are 25% off an already decent price. They also have a nice selection of Beers on tap.

A true
The Rochester is a great pub to spend hours sitting with some great local beer (at the time of writing on tap is St. Ambroise Apricot Wheat Ale,St. Ambroise Oatmeal Stout,Griffon Red, Keith's, Creemore, Steam Whistle and Stuart's Organic Session Ale)or just pop by for a meal. With daily specials (usually a soup, sandwich, and a main entree plate) and a pub menu you can always find something to suit your taste. Brunches (Sat. and Sun.) are inexpensive and the portions are large.

The atmosphere at the Rochester is laid back and friendly. The host of regulars add to the experience though it can get quite animated at times at the bar on Friday nights so if you are looking for a quiet place to sit with your thoughts you may have to practice selective hearing...or better yet join in!

The owner is there almost every day and enjoys a good argument or debate if things are slow. You have been warned :-)

Great place for brunch
It's never busy for brunch but the Rochester has been offering brunch for a number of months now and I highly recommend it! The breakfasts are good - potatoes are fantastic, crispy with a touch of onion and most breakfasts come with a nice light salad. Very enjoyable and great service.

Very cosy local pub. The guy who runs the place is very friendly, food is good pub fare, reasonably priced, nice selection of local Ontario and Quebec beer. Has a nice porch to eat on which is enclosed in the winter.
