Delivery
A group of us from work placed a large order for delivery today ($225+). The food arrived on time, and well packaged (all boxed and clearly identified) with all the accessories included (utensils, condiments etc). I had the Econobox which is basically a breast or leg (you don’t get to choose) with the side of your choice, gravy, roll and coleslaw. It’s several dollars cheaper than ordering a breast meal specifically.

Anyhow I happened to get a breast instead of a leg, which made no difference to me. There was a lot of meat to pick away at, including the wing which was fairly meaty. The sides were not so successful. The fries were undercooked and soggy. The traditional coleslaw (oil and vinegar vs. creamy) was a disappointment. They are not using the same recipe as in years past. There is no ‘bite’ to the dressing, it lacks seasoning and basically tastes just like it is some thin oil. I actually added some white vinegar to give it some flavor, and some black pepper. It’s not half as good as it used to be. Overall the meal was greasy, and other than the chicken, disappointing. The gravy is still good but that’s to be expected. Personally, next time they order from here for lunch, I think I’ll pass.

Great even for those with allergies
I love dining in and getting delivery. With their new menu they even have desserts for those with peanut allergies from "Gaurdian Angel Foods". When getting delivery your allergies are attached to your phone number so no worry if you forget to mention it when you call a repeat order in. It is one place I feel safe eating at with my peanut and seafood allergy.

It's all about the gravy!
I love this place! Eveer since the one in Nepean shut down I've been driving to the St. Laurent location. This place is always the same. The food is great for what it is - a chicken place. I love their sauce and how they put the bottom bun under my fries. Coleslaw is great as well. Servers seems bored but I would be to working at a chicken hut. It's good for a quick and inexpensive meal.

Ate here many times, too think of all times I did and the last time I found hair in my club sandwich, returned it only to get a new one with hair on it again, waiter wanted to know if I wanted to eat it and told him no so I returned that one didn't want a new one, just wanted to leave because i was getting sick to my stomach. All cooks should be told to wear a hair net at all times when in the Kitchen so situations like this would be avoidable

Convenient Location for Popular Chain
Easy location not too far from 417. Nice service when we visited. Love St. Hubert -- wins over Swiss Chalet hands down.

Best St-Hubert in Town
By far the best St-Hubert in town. I travel to Quebec City quite often and I've been to my fare share of St-Hubert, including the first St-Hubert. Although the best St-Hubert's are in Quebec, this one is just as good

In my opinion, this place is much better than Swiss Chalet. I would stick with the staple chicken options though, instead of the gourmet salad choices they have. I have always been disappointed with the salads. They do chicken very well, and should stick to that.

Excellent!
I love this place. It's a classic. Roasted quarter chicken with fries, coleslaw and half bun - yum! Used to be cheap but prices are getting a little steep these days. Nevertheless it's reliable and the food never disappoints. Last time, I tried the thai grilled chicken breast - very good, although the sauce was a tad too spicy for my liking. Frequent coleslaw refills and polite service. A good place for the whole family, and the bar is pretty good as well.

Yumm!
We ate at St. Hubert's in Cornwall for years when I was a kid, and I still love it now. Swiss Chalet doesn't even come close to the fabulous food at St. Hubert's. The sauce is so good I could drink it! Too bad there is no west end location anymore.

Great chicken, everything else meh.
Whenever I talk about how much I love Swiss Chalet, my friends always say how much better St. Hubert is, so I finally tried it out last night. The service was excellent, very friendly, attentive and quick. I ordered the Quarter chicken breast with fries. The chicken was FANTASTIC (huge portion, perfectly crispy skin, tender and juicy). The fries were of the dried out, frozen variety and the sauce was more of a gravy. A very, very salty gravy. The bread was a lower half of a hamburger bun. Overall it was good dining experience, but I doubt I'll return because I can't handle that much salt.

Took part in our usual trip to St. Huberts. We usually go once every couple of months. Never had any problems with this place. Appetisers, 1/4 chicken, 1/2 rib and deserts came out to about 52 with a fat tip for our server.

Chicken was A-1, and ribs were better than ever. I'm usually very picky ordering ribs, but this place ranks up there with Baton Rouge - very good. Fries were equally great, as was the chocolate cake dessert. Server was one of the best I've had to deal with.

No huge problems, but when will they head to the west end of Ottawa? There's an empty Denny's in Kanata Centrum that is begging to be turned into something usefull.

We always go to the Aylmer or Hull (Gatineau)St-Hubert and it's a special treat everytime. No matter what we pick on the menu, it's always fresh and tasty. Different from Swiss Chalet - no comparison. And the desserts...WOW! My husband and I always share our favourite: warm brownie/ice cream & hot fudge sauce or warm date square/ice cream & butterscotch sauce. A real sin...but who cares?

We live very close to this location on St.Laurent.
When we don't feel like cooking, we drop by the Take-Out counter and pick up the "Econo-Mix" deal. This deal is for two or more people.
IMHO, this is the best deal going. The catch is that you have to take the chicken they give you. So for two people, one gets a breast and the other gets a leg, but the leg still has plenty of white meat attached (I happen to prefer dark meat).
With this comes the usual coleslaw, the half bun, the sauce and your choice of about 6 sides (fries, baked potato, mashed potatoes, Caesar salad, spinach salad etc..)
If you take the Econo-mix as is with no changes or substitutions (other than choosing your side), the total for two INCLUDING taxes is $14.48.
That is cheaper than going to Subway and definitely cheaper than McDonalds for two people.
Check it out!

Not bad. I got the hot chicken sandwich. It's a little bit more expensive than swiss chalet, and they should not used canned peas.

Havent been to a St.Huberts in years. The first thing I noticed is the expanded menu choices, so instead of the usual ¼ chicken I tried the chicken brochette with rice. It was o.k., but nothing special ( a bit dry actually) . I would stick with the tried and true bbq chicken, always liked the coleslaw (the non creamy one), the sauce and the sugar pie for dessert. I also agree with the comments regarding being better than Swiss Chalet, I always thought St. Huberts chicken and sauce was better than Swiss Chalet.

I am more familiar with the Hull location. But I agree it's much better than Swiss Chalet. Great desserts too with that Quebec flair. Wonderful apple pie. Only close competitor I know is Laurier BBQ in Montreal.

Having been raised in Quebec, St-Hubert's was always the family restaurant of choice: cheap, good, dependable. Their chicken, crispy fries, gravy and coleslaw are brilliant and have remained pretty well unchanged in over 50 years. The service is always top-notch, fast, efficient and friendly. The food outshines Swiss Chalet by miles. It was a happy day when St-Hubert started to sell their famous sauces in stores.

First time at St. Hubert in 20 years. Very nice atmosphere and excellent service. The lunch special was good and included all you can eat coleslaw and came with a drink and dessert with the entree. The hot chicken sandwich was alright and the dessert was very good.
